Mr. Ericson <br />May 18, 2017 <br />Page 2 <br />1.3.1 Examine Historic building permit and building permit valuation data. <br />1.3.2 2020, 2030 and 2040 Population, Household and Employment forecast. <br />1.3.3 Prepare an exhibit of the community designation. <br />1.4 Land Use Component <br />1.4.1 Compile all appropriate GIS and other data on existing land uses. <br />1.4.2 Determine the amount and type of residential land uses needed to meet the requirements of <br />the Housing Policy Plan's affordable housing allocation and Centerville's growth forecasts. <br />1.4.3 Examine the 2030 Comprehensive Plan land use categories and determine if those land use <br />categories can be carried over into the 2040 Comprehensive Plan. Modify existing land use categories <br />or create new land use categories as needed. <br />1.4.4 Prepare charts of 2010 generalized land uses, the 2016 zoning districts, the existing 2030 land <br />use designations and the 2040 land use designations. <br />1.4.5 Prepare maps of the 2010 generalized land uses, the existing 2030 Land Use Map, the 2040 Land <br />Use Map including the 2030 and the 2040 MUSAs. <br />1.4.6 Create goals and implementation steps for land use and growth management based on the <br />community vision, the meetings and feedback gathered, and with Planning Commission and City <br />Council assistance. <br />1.4.7 Address the statutory requirements regarding aggregate resources and solar access. <br />1.5 Transportation Component <br />1.5.1 Traffic Analysis Zones (TAZs). WSB staff will allocate Met Council 2010, 2030, 2030 and 2040 <br />population, employment and housing data by Traffic Analysis Zone (TAZ) based on an approved <br />City of Centerville Land Use Plan. <br />1.5.2 Roadways. WSB staff will prepare a Roadway Component of the overall Transportation Plan. <br />The Roadway Component will include existing and planned functional classification, existing <br />roadway lanes and existing/forecasted traffic volumes. Access management guidelines will be <br />discussed and incorporated into the final plan document along with any future needs for right-of- <br />way preservation. <br />1.5.3 Bicycling and Walking. WSB staff will prepare a Bicycling and Walking Component of the <br />overall Transportation Plan. <br />1.5.4 Freight. WSB staff will prepare a Freight Component of the chapter. Existing freight <br />infrastructure, such as railroads, major truck routes and freight generators will also be mapped <br />and potential projects and strategies to improve freight mobility will be identified. <br />65 <br />
