<br />City of Centervil1e <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />December 19,2002 <br /> <br />interested in doing since the position was hired but there has never been a complete <br />discussion ofthis with full Council and the City Administrator has not been consulted. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers further commented that she is not interested in <br />changing things at this moment in time because it is the last day of the year and certain <br />Council Members have an agenda they are trying to move forward with. She further <br />commented that she does not appreciate this being kept a secret until the Council <br />meeting. She then said that this was never agreed upon or completely discussed by <br />Council. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg indicated there was an attempt to have a meeting but that was <br />cancelled. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson commented that there was some discussion about restructuring <br />when Council came out of executive session and she is anxious to hear what Council's <br />pleasure is on this and would like to have a vote. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg commented he thinks this is common sense as it should ease the City <br />Administrator's workload. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated that she believes when Ms. Paulseth was hired the <br />matter was discussed but Council felt she had not been with the City long enough and <br />decided to wait. She stated that this item had been discussed previously with the City <br />Administrator; however, nothing was formalized. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Nelson, seconded bv Council Member Capra to <br />approve Resolution #02-065, a Resolution definin2 the or2anizational structure and <br />supervision responsibilities of the Citv Administration Department and Public <br />Works Department. Ayes - 4, Navs -1 (Broussard Vickers). Motion carried. <br /> <br />2. Economic Development Committee CEDC) Recommendation for Appointment of <br />My. Paul Burke <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated she had received a letter from Mr. Burke requesting <br />appointment to EDC. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked if he could be added to the list of <br />appointments for the first of the year. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg suggested appointing him and re-affirming his appointment along with <br />the annual resolution for appointments for 2003. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Capra, seconded by Council Member Nelson to <br />ap.prove the appointment of Mr. Burke to EDC.
