Flexible work schedules will be allowed on a case by case <br />basis as approved by the City Administrator. Th~ City Adtnini!ltnltor may also adjust <br />nOf1"n~l.work weeks and days for the positions that teqJJire the exercise of duties and <br />te$pOulUnilities outside of n01"m~l hours (for p.Y~mple., the need to attend City <br />Council meetin~). <br /> <br />6.4 Work Breaks <br /> <br />Meal Break: Employees wotking eight or more consecutive hours will be <br />authorized an unpaid meal break. <br /> <br />Rest Break: When working under conditions where the use of a rest break is <br />practical, Employees will be allowed to take a fifteen-minute break approximately <br />midway through each four-hour shift. . The time of the break is subject to the <br />approval of the supervisor. Unused rest breaks may not be accumulated, nor may <br />they be used for any pw:pose other than a mid-shift rest period.
