Employees who <br />take Friday off cannot 'substitute any other day of their choice as a "caswi.1. dat'. . <br /> <br />22., ELECTRONIC MEDIA USAGE POLICY <br /> <br />22.1 General <br /> <br />Guidelines: The City of Cente1:v.ille's electronic media usage policy.is designed to <br />provide clear gaideIines to City of Centerrille Employees regarding access tp, and <br />disclosu:re of: computer, network, telephone and fao;iml1e systems. Employees <br />incracungJy Use and. exploit electronic forms of communication and information <br />excha.:Dge, and have access to one or more forms of electronic media and services <br />(computer, ema.il, telephones, voice mail, fax machines, external el.ed:ronic bulletin <br />boards, on-line services, and the Ititem.et). <br /> <br />Public Property: The ,City encourages the use of these media and associated <br />services, because they make communication more efficient and effective, and <br />because they are valuable sources of infoimation. However, electronic media, data, <br />and services provided by the City are City own~ and publicly funded, and their <br />purpose is to facilitate City business. The City Council aUthorizes the use of the <br />Internet and on-line services for the support of all City tasks. The use of the <br />Internet is public and a priv.ilege, not a right, and may be revoked at any time for <br />unacceptable use. <br /> <br />Procedures: With the rapidly c'h~nging nature of electronic media, and the <br />"netiquette" wbich is developing among users of extema1 on-line services and the <br />Internet, this policy cannot lay down rules to cover every possible situation.
