,--
l Page"

Jumpin Java

A Centerville resident of nine
years, Monica Travis, saw a need in the
community for a relaxing location for
people to gather and enjoy America's
popular craze -specialty coffee! When
the development for Apple Tree Square
was announced, she knew immediately
that location would be the home for
Jumpin Java, a name she came up with
after hours of brainstorming with
friends and family.
Monica, a wife and mother of 3,
obtained her college degree in Elemen-
tary Education, however, realized that
she would rather be an independent
businesswoman rather than an em-
ployee. Pursuing her goal to open a cof-
fee house, she spent many hours re-
searching the industry by visiting
roasteries, learning to prepare a wide
variety of specialty coffee and has de-
veloped an acute taste for the differ-
ences in coffees.
Jumpin Java will be able to seat 24
guests at full capacity and have a supply
of cards, games and occasionally featur-
ing musicians. The coffee house will be
an ideal meeting location for small
groups.

TRIAD News

By Walt Neumann

What is a TRIAD Program and
what can it do for the people of this
community?
