<br />Utility Rate Hikes
<br />The City's Engineering firm.
<br />Bonestroo. Rosene, Anderlik &
<br />Associates was requested to complete
<br />a comprehensive analysis of the City's
<br />utility rates and the need for future
<br />infrastructure replacement. The study
<br />looked at the user fees for utilities as
<br />well as the connection charges that
<br />new homes and businesses pay to
<br />connect to City utilities. The
<br />recommendations of the study are as
<br />follows:
<br />. Sanitary Sewer Rates
<br />Increase current service charges
<br />from $39iquarter to $51 !quarter
<br />over the next four years. That
<br />means an average annual increase
<br />of $12Jyear or $3!quarter.
<br />. Water Rates - increase current
<br />service charges from $! 5 to $ i 9 per

<br />Approxirnaiely 150 children and
<br />adults attended the event sponsored by
<br />the Church. Parishioners and residents
<br />enjoyed a wonderful time with fun-
<br />filled activities such as hayrides,
<br />pumpkin carving, gourd painting,
<br />story-telling and games. Nearly 200
<br />hotdogs were served, along with chips
<br />and homemade dirt cake!
<br />The Festival was a wonderful
<br />event for socializing with family and
<br />neighbors and celebrate not only the
<br />beautiful Fall season, but the warmth
<br />and charm of Centerville that many
<br />have grown to cherish over the years.
