CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> REQUEST FOR <br /> COUNCIL ACTION Verville <br /> Agenda Item# Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br /> Administration November 28, 2018 <br /> TITLE OF ISSUE: <br /> General Fund 2019 Budget and Tax Levy Adoption <br /> BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br /> City Council has discussed the General Fund budget and property tax levy for 2019 at several work sessions <br /> through the summer and fall. All parts of the budget have been discussed with particular emphasis on areas that <br /> have significant dollar changes, both positive and negative. We have also discussed the debt service levies in <br /> detail. Many changes have been proposed by staff and those items that the City Council concurred with have <br /> been incorporated into these documents for final approval. <br /> The property tax levy of$2,707,338 has stayed at the amount adopted in September and used for Truth-in <br /> Taxation notice purposes.
