• Review of open permits and proactively pursuing closing them out <br /> o Often, many permits are left open indefinitely, unless we initiate a close- <br /> out inspection. <br /> • Repair of equipment <br /> o Obviously when a vehicle or equipment doesn't function, the repairs are <br /> expedited, but nagging issues or non-critical repairs get pushed back. <br /> • Cleaning warming house, restrooms <br /> o Staff endeavors to do this on a regular basis, but the task can get pushed in <br /> lieu of more pressing matters. <br /> • Gathering and disposal of garbage at parks, doggie stations, etc. <br /> o Staff endeavors to do this on a regular basis, but the task can get pushed in <br /> lieu of more pressing matters. <br /> • Shop clean-up and housekeeping. <br /> o Staff endeavors to do this on a regular basis, but the task can get pushed in <br /> lieu of more pressing matters. <br /> • Storm sewer inspection to prevent flooding. <br /> o Winter monitoring of drainage systems and areas prone to flooding due to <br /> plugged culverts & catch basins. <br /> • Annual MS 4 training. <br /> o Train new staff person on MS4 storm water, construction site and land <br /> clearing required monitoring, inspections and reporting by the State. <br /> • Tree trimming <br /> o Trim trees from heavy snow or ice events. <br /> • File documentation and updates <br /> o Year-end documentation and file closeout and change over. <br /> • Pond survey, mapping and master plan <br /> o Perform monitoring activities to develop a more refined pond program for <br /> funding and maintenance and maximize the most cost effective program <br /> going forward. <br /> • Emerald Ash Bore training and program <br /> o Develop an Ash Bore education and action program for the city. <br /> • Backyard drainage plan <br /> o Update information with priority areas and identify action plan going <br /> forward to address the persistent problem areas and plan of action. <br /> • Weir replacement program <br /> o Inspect and inventory skimmer structures and initiate a replacement <br /> program and schedule. <br /> • Aquatic invasive species program <br /> o Investigate County sponsored initiatives and programs in protecting the <br /> waterways within the city. <br /> • Anoka county invasive species program <br /> o Educate staff and residents to the harmful threat of exposure to invasive <br /> plants beginning to show up in the city and participate with the County to <br /> control them. <br /> 7 <br />
