City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />April 26, 2006 <br />Motion by Council Member Terway, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to <br />approve the Downtown Streetscape Plan as presented and to direct the <br />Engineer to prepare the Plans and Specifications subject to preliminary <br />approval of the County. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> 2. Resolution #06-028 – Clarifying City’s Intention Regarding Condemnation of <br />Easement <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that the City passed a Resolution previously <br />on this matter but it did not state to include roadway as a possible use of those <br />acquisition and legal staff recommends clarification. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Paar, to <br />approve Resolution #06-028, Clarifying City’s Intention Regarding <br />Condemnation of Easement. All in favor. Motion carried unanimousl <br />y. <br /> <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> <br /> <br />1.City Administrator, Mr. Dallas Larson <br /> <br />No report. <br /> <br />2. Business Person Update <br /> <br />No update. <br /> <br /> Mayor Capra thanked those that volunteered for Earth Day. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra announced that St. Genevieve is hosting a community potluck on May 6, <br />2006 at 6:00 p.m. at the new Parish Community Center. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated that there is a berm of dirt at LaMotte Park and they would like to <br />work on the drainage in the park. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that they would like to use the dirt for filling in the <br />basement at the property being purchased from the St. Paul Water Utility. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated there is legislation out there concerning transportation and if it is <br />passed Centerville residents would pay $80.00 and Forest Lake would only pay $8.00 so <br />Staff is looking into that. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar thanked everyone for Earth Day and apologized for not being there <br />but he attended his sons Tae Kwon Do tournament. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar asked that Staff advertise the circus on the billboard to list where <br />tickets can be obtained. <br /> <br />Page 7 of 8 <br />
