City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> March 21,2018 <br /> IV. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES <br /> 1. February 7, 2018 Parks and Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes <br /> Change "$2,000" to "$200"near the top of page 2 of the minutes. <br /> Motion by Committee Member Peterson, seconded by Committee Member Wae2he to <br /> approve the Minutes of the February 7, 2018 regular meeting as Amended. All in favor. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> V. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> 1. Fete des Lacs 5/8k Run/Walk—P. Branch <br /> No action or discussion. Pat Branch did not attend the meeting. <br /> 2. Name Change to Park or Pavillion <br /> No action. Committee would like to wait for Kevin Amundsen's input and for him to report <br /> back on his discussion with Mrs. Heidi Grahek. <br /> VI. NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Bald Eagle Waterski Club (BEWC) —Mr. Dean Havel/Mr. Douglas Shipp <br /> Mr. Shipp was in attendance and gave a brief overview of the club's program in Centerville and <br /> thanked the city for its partnership. <br /> a. Letter of Support for DNR Permit <br /> Mr. Shipp informed the committee that a permit from the DNR was required for their ski jump to <br /> remain in the water overnight. The committee was in general support of the application for <br /> permit. <br /> Motion by Committee Member Seeley, seconded by Committee Member Waeghe to <br /> approve a letter to the DNR in support of the BEWC's request for a permit to allow their <br /> ski iump to be located in Centerville Lake. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> b. Partnership for Portable Restroom at Trailside Park <br /> Discussion covered whether restroom should be near water or up at Cornerstone Park, and what, <br /> if any financial contribution to the rental the city should make. Although the committee and <br /> BEWC were comfortable with the facility being near the water, if properly anchored, there are <br /> logistical issues, such as the need for handicapped accessibility.
