City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> January 9,2019 <br /> would anticipate utilizing it for continued development while they hold an option for <br /> purchase of the property. <br /> Administrator Statz stated that a public hearing would be held at the February Planning & <br /> Zoning meeting regarding their request. <br /> Lengthy discussion ensued regarding Mr. Rehbein's comments he previously made before <br /> Council, the continued stockpiling of unacceptable material, roadway maintenance, and <br /> etc. Administrator Statz stated that within the construction timeline the dirt was <br /> unacceptable for use during the construction of the distribution center due to the amount <br /> of moisture in it. He also stated that a two (2) year window would coincide with United <br /> Properties agreement with Mr. Rehbein. Administrator Statz stated that Mr. Champeau <br /> has been before Council in the past and is reputable. <br /> Mayor Paar stated that it was National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day and he <br /> thanked the Centennial Lakes Police Department along with all law enforcement agencies <br /> for the work that they do. He stated that he would be attending an upcoming meeting at <br /> the Centennial High School where Representatives Runbeck and West and Senator <br /> Chamberlain and other local representatives will be discussing school funding on January <br /> 25 at 7:15 a.m. He also stated that he would be attending an upcoming Quad Area <br /> Chamber of Commerce networking/ribbon cutting ceremony at Wholesome Health on <br /> January 24 from 2:30-4:00 p.m. for business. He stated that he and City Administrator <br /> Statz met recently with the Chamber regarding Centerville exposure. <br /> Mayor Paar welcomed back Council Member Lakso and stated that working with all <br /> members of Council past and present has been a joy. He also thanked all of staff for their <br /> hard work behind the scenes. Mayor Paar thanked the armed services for their services <br /> along with all police and fire department staffs as while everyone was celebrating the <br /> holidays many of these folks were working to protect us. <br /> City Administrator Statz stated that the Centennial Fire District responded to a multi-unit <br /> fire on Christmas Eve. <br /> Mayor Paar stated that not all Council Members had received information regarding the <br /> City Administrator's performance review and he requested a Closed Executive Session for <br /> the next Council Meeting. <br /> XI. RECESS REGULAR MEETING <br /> Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Lakso to recess the <br /> regularly scheduled Council Meeting to a Closed Executive Session to Discuss the <br /> Performance Review of City Administrator Statz at 8:22 p.m. All in favor.
