City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> January 23,2019 <br /> Blanc completed 20 years of service. He also stated that Chief Coan's performance review had <br /> been completed. <br /> Mayor Paar stated that with the different avenues for social media both the Fire District and <br /> Police Department make every attempt to release pertinent information when appropriate. They <br /> take every effort in keeping the public safe. He reminded the public that if information is <br /> released to please refrain from visiting the area. <br /> Council Member Koski stated that he attended the recent Centennial Lakes Fire Steering <br /> Committee meeting and thanked staff for coming in 3% under budget for 2018. He stated that <br /> MMKR had been approved to complete the 2019 audit, discussions remain ongoing regarding <br /> the use of duty crews for daytime staffing, approved a new A/C unit for Station 1 and are <br /> attempting to sell some used equipment. He stated that the next meeting would be taking place <br /> on April 11, 2019 in Centerville. Council Member Lakso congratulated him on being Chair. <br /> Council Member Lakso stated that day-time staffing (duty crew) strategies would be discussed <br /> with nine (9) solutions being brought forward by the Chief with the Committee bringing one (1) <br /> or two (2) forward for Council consideration due to budget implications. <br /> Mayor Paar congratulated Council Member Koski in becoming Chair of the Committee and <br /> stated that they would be in good hands. He also stated that he would be attending the Anoka <br /> County Local Government Officials meeting on January 30, that the North Metro Cable meeting <br /> had been cancelled and that Skate Night & Hay Rides was scheduled for February 9, 2019 at <br /> LaMotte Park. He also stated that it is less than a month away for the Centerville Lions Annual <br /> Fishing Contest. He reported that an open house/ribbon cutting ceremony would be taking place <br /> on Thursday, January 24 at Wholesome Heath commencing at 2 p.m. He also reported that <br /> North Metro Cable would be streaming Council meetings within the next month or so. <br /> XI. RECESS REGULAR MEETING <br /> Mayor Paar recessed to a Closed Executive Session following a 5 minute break at 7:24 p.m. <br /> CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION (Unless Otherwise Opened) <br /> The Closed Executive Session Convened at 7:30 p.m. <br /> This portion of the meeting is closed to develop or consider the asking price, and consider <br /> offers or counteroffers for the sale of real property located at 2021 Commerce Drive. The <br /> closure is pursuant to Minnesota State Statute Section 13D.05, subdivision 3(b) <br /> L Call to Order <br /> 1. Roll Call <br /> Members Present: Mayor Paar, Council Members Montain, Koski, Love and Lakso. Also <br /> present City Administrator Statz, City Attorney Glaser and Broker Mike Brass. <br /> II.
