City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> February 13,2019 <br /> Mayor Paar stated that the City is in full support of these parcels developing and appreciates the <br /> working relationship that has continued and anticipates the same going forward. <br /> City Attorney Glaser stated that he reviewed the document. <br /> Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Montain to Approve the <br /> Presented Findings of Fact and IUP. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> X. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> 1. Administrator/Engineer Report <br /> Administrator Statz stated that his report was in the packet and he would be happy to answer any <br /> questions that Council had. He mentioned that several individuals had been in inquiring about a <br /> bakery in the downtown area along with other inquiries during the last several weeks. <br /> Council Member Lakso reported that she attended her first Parks & Recreation Committee <br /> meeting and as she was not feeling well left early. She stated that she appreciated the years of <br /> dedicated service from Mr. Amundsen. She also reported that she attended the newly elected <br /> officials and leadership conferences and appreciated having the ability to do so. Mayor Paar <br /> stated that these conferences were very beneficial. <br /> Council Member Koski questioned the Anoka County Comprehensive Plan and the intent of the <br /> County. City Administrator Statz stated they desired for individuals to provide reviews and give <br /> input. <br /> Council Member Koski reported that the Planning & Zoning Commission discussed revising the <br /> Planned Unit Development for Bay View Villas allowing hot tubs and swim spa pools. He <br /> stated that Mr. DeFoe appeared before the Commission stating that he was unclear of the <br /> language only allowing hot tubs and swim spa pools. He stated that he desired for a full sized <br /> pool to be installed on Lot 1. He also stated that the Commission tabled the item until all could <br /> agree to the desired request. Council Member Koski also stated that Midwest Best Water is <br /> unclear of the zoning that they would like 2061 Commerce Drive to be so lengthy discussion was <br /> had regarding permitted uses, zoning, mini storage and other zoning classification. <br /> Administrator Statz stated that Mr. Phil Carlson was present at the meeting and additional <br /> discussions would continue regarding zoning districts and permitted uses. Council Member <br /> Koski also thanked Mr. Amundsen for his years of dedicated service and wished him well. <br /> Council Member Montain stated that he attended a recent Fire Protection Council meeting where <br /> the election of new officers occurred. He stated that two (2) new positions were included in the <br /> 2020 budget and operational cost would be increasing by $40. He stated that discussions also <br /> took place regarding technology and public safety. He reported that January will no longer be <br /> budget acceptance time and in 2021 it will be in April. He mentioned the Primary Service Area <br /> (PSA) for ambulance services with discussions regarding this item continuing. <br /> Page 5 of 7 <br />
