Love provided an opportunity for Council to add or remove any item(s) to/from the <br />consent agenda. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Wilharber, seconded by Council Member Montain to Approve <br />Consent Agenda as Presented. A roll-call vote was taken. Mayor Love and Council <br />Members Koski, Lakso, Montain & Wilharber voted in favor. Motion carried. <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. ty Code Re: Main Street Commercial <br />nd <br />District (B-2); Table 156-A-1 Table of allowed Uses (2 Reading) <br /> <br />Administrator Statz stated that this was the second reading of the proposed revised code and table. <br />He reminded Council that the B-2 District virtually follows the B-1 (Commercial) district zoning <br />except that several items were removed from the allowed uses such a Group Living Uses, Nursing <br />Home/Skilled Nurse Facilities, etc. He stated that those types of uses remain in the B-1 <br />(Commercial) District off of Main Street. Administrator Statz stated that the Planning & Zoning <br />Commission passed the revisions 4-2 and if Council chose to adopt, the ordinance would then be <br />r of record and become effective immediately following that. <br /> <br />Council Member Koski stated that he supported the revisions and that there was lengthy discussion <br />at the Planning & Zoning Commission. Council Member Wilharber stated that he also supported <br />it and Council Member Lakso asked what caused the voted of the Commission not to be in <br />consensus. Administrator Statz stated the City has not realized a large boom in development to <br />this point and some members have seen the City wait, wait for development and why wait any <br />long with restrictions. He also stated that the general feeling was not to restrict development more <br />than have to. He stated that on the other hand, the others felt that there was such few parcels <br />available along Main Street that these types of businesses should not be along a business roadway <br />and front and center. <br /> <br />Page 6 of 12 <br />6 <br /> <br />
