CODE ENFORCEMENT — COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL
Alex's Lawn and Turf, LLC — Conditional Use Permit
A letter was sent to legal representation for Alex's, informing them of two conditions
which are out of compliance with their Conditional Use Permit. The deadline to remedy
those situations is November 30, 2019.
7129 20t' Ave.
The Planning and Zoning Commission heard an appeal from the business owner on the
issue of their lighting being a nuisance. The issue was tabled as the business owner
expressed plans to comply with the requirements laid out by the zoning administrator by
the end of August.
Wholesome Health
A follow-up letter was sent, requesting a response to earlier notices regarding the need
for a sign permit.
STORMWATER/WETLAND
Met Council Stormwater Grant
Great news! Met Council staff is recommending that we be awarded a $100,000
Stormwater Grant. There is a small matching requirement of 25%, which will need to
come from the city's stormwater fund. The project would be an expansion of our
LaMotte Park stormwater irrigation system to help meet stormwater obligations for the
downtown street project and Block 7 redevelopment. We still need a recommendation
for award from Met Council's Environment Committee and approval by the full Met
Council board, but we were the second highest scoring project, so we are hopeful this is a
rubber stamp. Thanks to city staff and Stantec for helping put this application together.
Funding Recommendation
TOTAL
AMOUNT
AMOUNT
PROJECT
APPLICANT
POINTS
REQUESTED
RECOMMENDED
Village Green Stormwater and Community Garden Improvements
Fridley
429
$100,000
$100,000
Stormwater Reuse for Downtown Centerville Redevelopment
Centerville
411
$100,000
$100,000
Autumn Ridge Participatory Landscape Design, Installation
Brooklyn Park
411
$73,787
$73,787
ECO Mosque
Hennepin County
361
$100,000
$75,000
St Hubert Catholic School Stormwater Retrofit
RPBCWD
360
$100,000
$75,000
Hugo County Road 8 Trail Improvements & Stormwater Reuse
Hugo
350
$100,000
$50,000
Brooklyn Center Workforce and Senior Affordable Apartments
Brooklyn Center
344
$100,000
$25,000
Community- based Raingarden Project
Nine Mile Creek WD
341
$55,000
Watertown Sump SAFL Baffle Retrofit
Carver County WMO
322
$10,000
Historic Ernst House Redevelopment
Chaska
301
$30,000
Shakopee Downtown BMP - Lot A
Shakopee
272
$100,000
Village Center Revitalization Project
Marine on St -Croix
262
$30,000
2020 Street Surface Improvement Project
Anoka
251
$45,000
15th & Hilo Water Quality Project
Oakdale
229
$19,582
United Farmer's Cooperative Storm Volume and Treatment Improvements Waconia
209
$100,000
$1,063,369 $498,787
