City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />August 9, 2006 <br />Council Member Lee thanked the parade volunteers and said that all those that were <br />asked came through. He also thanked the Council for participating and said they will do <br />the parade again next year now that they know what to expect. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra informed residents that the City is recruiting for Park and Recreation <br />members and asked anyone who is interested to contact City Hall. <br /> <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br /> 1. CSAH 14 Joint Powers Agreement <br /> <br /> City Administrator Larson indicated that Staff has not submitted a letter to the County as <br />there are outstanding issues to be reviewed. He then said that the land that the City is <br />contributing for the pond has a value, and that value would be applied to land that the <br />City would choose to purchase from the county in remnant parcels. He further <br />commented that he has asked for a list from the County and has not received that list. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that language should be added that it will be applied <br />but any extra will be applied to the costs on the project as there may not be anything that <br />the City wishes to buy. <br /> <br />Council agreed. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson said that right of way is wanted in front of the public works <br />location as well as the backage road site and the offer for right of way on that parcel of <br />$58,000 was asked to be reissued to the City. He then said that based on the work session <br />discussion and that issue he would like to suggest authorizing Staff to finalize the <br />language in the contract to be sent to the County on Friday. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated that she will attend the CSAH 14 meeting with Mr. Palzer in Mr. <br />Larson’s absence. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Paar, to direct Staff <br />to finalize the contract language based on work session discussions and forward it to <br />the County for consideration. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> 2. Proposed Ordinance #10 Second Series Amending Section 30.02 Relating to <br />Mayor and Council Duties <br /> <br /> City Attorney Glaser indicated that this proposed ordinance covers duties and was <br /> separated from Council pay. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Terway, to <br />approve Ordinance #10, Second Series Amending Section 30.02 Relating to Mayor <br />and Council Duties.
