There would be significant activity in the van loading area and the <br />metal canopy could reflect and amplify the noise. This is illustrated on the portion of the <br />site plan on the next page. The red dashed arrow shows sound that would go around the <br />proposed wall around the truck dock area, the blue dashed arrow represents noise that <br />could be interrupted by the proposed wall. Muffing the noise from the van loading area <br />could be provided with sound -absorbing material under the canopy or by an additional <br />tall wall on site to interrupt the noise vectors. The best solution for this can be negotiated <br />between the applicants, their consultants, and the City Engineer. <br />Design with community in mind <br />
