(C) PERMITTED USES. <br />Nothing herein contained shall prohibit the use of firearms by duly authorized police <br />officers or law enforcement officers, or by persons engaged in the lawful defense of <br />person or property. <br />EXISTING CENTERVILLE ORDINANCE: <br />§ 92.01 DEFINITIONS. <br /> For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the <br />context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning. <br />FIREARM. No person shall possess <br />a dangerous weapon or firearm in any public park or on any public grounds unless <br />licensed by a State or the Federal government authorizing possession of a firearm in a <br />public place. <br />§ 130.03 DISCHARGE OF FIREARMS WITHIN CITY LIMITS. <br />(A)It shall be unlawful to shoot, fire off, discharge or explode any gun, pistol, <br />revolver or other firearm or device which ejects a projectile upon or onto any <br />road, street, avenue, sidewalk or other public place, or inside any dwelling or <br />structure in the city except upon ranges permitted by the City Council. <br />(B)It shall be unlawful to shoot, fire off, discharge or explode any single ball <br />ammunition in the city except upon ranges permitted by the City Council. <br />3 <br /> <br />
