City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />May 24, 2023 <br /> <br />Mayor Love thanked Mr. Eilertson for his news and appearance this evening. <br /> <br />V. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />1. Reassessment Hearing – 2022 City Hall Parking Lot and Street Improvements <br /> <br />Administrator Statz reviewed the process for the original hearing and stated that due to assessment <br />hearing notices being forwarded to previous owners of benefiting properties rather than being delivered <br />to current owners of benefiting properties, a reassessment process was needed with notices being <br />addressed to new property owners and providing them with due process. He stated that the hearing only <br />contained five (5) properties. <br /> <br />Attorney Glaser stated that there were no procedural errors, but thus would allow those that chose to <br />appeal with their right to object this evening and continue their appeal with the District Court which is <br />the same process/legal process that all other benefiting property owners were provided with. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Taylor to Open the Public <br />Hearing for Reassessment – 2022 City Hall Parking Lot and Street Improvements (5 Parcels) at <br />6:47 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Love called for member of the public to speak on the issue and no public was present. <br /> <br />Council Member Koski suggested that the hearing be left open until following New Business providing <br />an opportunity for individuals to appear, appeal or speak. <br /> <br />VI. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES <br /> <br />1. None <br /> <br />VII. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />1. City of Centerville Claims through May 24, 2023 (Check #35912-35936), (Check #35938- <br />35943) & (2073E-2079E) <br />2. Centennial Lake Police Department Claims through May 11, 2023 (Check <br />#14765-14787), (E2023037-2023041), Payroll (Check #14772-14773) <br />3. Centennial Fire District Claims - None <br />4. Encroachment Agreement, 1818 Old Mill Court – (Fence) <br /> <br />Mayor Love provided an opportunity for members to pull items for additional discussion. <br /> <br />Administrator Statz stated that the additional check run was due to the Fete des Lacs Logo Contest and <br />timing of presentation prior to the end of the school year. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Taylor, seconded by Council Member King to Approve of the Consent <br />Agenda as Presented.
