Approved <br /> <br /> City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />July 27, 2022 <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />PRESENT: Acting Mayor Russ Koski <br /> Council Member Steve King <br />Council Member Michelle Lakso <br />Council Member Mosher <br />Junior Council Member Danny Peterson (Non-Voting) <br /> <br />ABSENT: Mayor D. Love <br /> <br />STAFF: City Administrator Mark Statz <br /> City Attorney Scott Baumgartner <br /> <br /> <br />II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />III. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Koski provided an opportunity for others to add or delete any items. <br /> <br />Administrator Statz stated that there was a modification noted in red on the agenda. Additional <br />checks were added and a voided (Check #35246) made to E. G. Rud & Sons. This was an error as <br />the developer should make the payment. He noted that a citizen desired to address Council in open <br />forum. Acting Mayor Koski stated that he would allow public comment – Item IV, under <br />Appointment and Presentations. Administrator Statz also added item #9 to the Consent Agenda <br />regarding an Encroachment for 1812 Old Mill Court. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Mosher to Approve the <br />Agenda with the noted changes, as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />IV. APPOINTMENTS/PRESENTATIONS <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Koski asked if there was anything that needed to be read for public comment. <br />Administrator Statz said no and we ask that the public keep their comments to 3-5 minutes long. <br />There will be no back and forth comments. The Council will hear them out at this time. This was <br />not an action item on agenda, so there is no action required. <br /> <br />Ms. Karen Francois, 1735 Dupre Road, stated that she appreciated the opportunity to address <br />Council and that she has never done so in the 17 years of living in Centerville. She stated that when <br />the home was purchased there were violations per City Code regarding landscaping. She stated <br />that a landscape plan was approved by the City and they planted needed trees. She stated that they <br />have always had their trees professional trimmed every three (3) years during the appropriate <br />season. <br /> <br />She stated that on Monday, her neighbor was approached by the City tree trimmers or somebody <br />that the City contracted.
