All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Public Works Capital Equipment Purchase Update <br /> <br />Administrator Statz provided Council with an update of the purchase of three (3) pick-up trucks which <br />were previously approved and that Council authorized staff to expend up to 20% over the amounts for <br />the vehicles listed in the City’s Capital Equipment Replacement Plan (CERP). He stated that there was <br />a 2-week order timeframe, and the pricing exceeded that threshold for the 3/4-tons (53% over the CERP). <br />He stated that the 1-ton was ordered at 18% over the CERP allocation. He reported that the two (2) 3/4- <br />tons were not ordered and that staff would be monitoring the market for more competitive purchases with <br />information being brought to the Council at a future work session. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding the pricing for the 1/2-ton rather than a 3/4-ton, resale values, add-ons, <br />various models, proposed 2024 Budget change associated with the purchase, etc. <br /> <br />IX.
