City of Centerville <br />Park & Recreaon Meeng Minutes <br />August 2, 2023 <br /> <br /> <br />rd <br />3. Main Street Market Î KidsÓ Night, August 3 <br /> <br />rd <br />The KidÓs Night is scheduled for August 3 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. A bounce house will be <br />delivered to the same location, on the hill as last year, and at least one volunteer attendant will be <br />needed. Committee Member Freiermuth volunteered to fill this position. It was recommended that <br />the committee members should consider ideas for an additional activity like the painting of rocks <br />during the 2022 Kids Night. Additional brushes & paint, color crayons need to be purchased & <br />Committee Member Errickson-Grahek has water buckets that can be used. Coloring sheets can <br />be obtained from the DNR for those not painting rocks. <br /> <br /> <br />4. Movie in the Park Î Committee Member Peterson <br /> <br />th <br />This event is scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 7:30 pm at Laurie LaMotte Park, <br />with a rain date of Saturday, September 23rd. Committee Member Peterson provided an update <br />on this event and would like to show League of DC Super Pets, which is rated PG. He <br />recommended the purchase of this movie, so City Clerk Bender will order the DVD. All volunteers <br />for this event should arrive by 6:30 pm to help set up, etc. <br /> <br />Committee Member Errickson-Grahek gave an update of supplies on hand & what will need to be <br />purchased prior to this event. <br /> <br />Council Member Moser mentioned a gentleman from Lino Lakes who pulled his popcorn machine <br />behind his bike during the Fete des Lacs parade and wondered if he might be a resource for the P <br />& R Committee Members for future events, Music in the Park, etc. <br /> <br /> <br />5. Recommended locations for the Hydration Stations & Bike Repair Station/Stand <br /> <br />Aerial photos were included in the packet with recommended locations for these new items. <br /> <br />Motion made by Committee Member Errickson-Grahek, seconded by Committee Member <br />Freiermuth to recommend to the City Council to accept the locations in Laurie LaMotte <br />Memorial Park and in Acorn Park, as recommended by PW Director Palzer, for the <br />installation of the Hydration Stations and the Bike Repair Stand/Station. All in favor. Motion <br />carried. <br />6. Music in the Park <br />Committee Member Peterson is still working on securing a group to perform on the last night of <br />the Music in the Park. If the group he is trying to obtain will not be available, then he does have <br />some other options and will begin contacting them soon. <br />Page 3 of 6 <br /> <br />
