Proposals will be <br />scored based on a number of factors, including: <br />General value of what is being proposed. <br /> Quality and quantity of equipment and other products <br /> Creativity of design <br /> Integration of adaptive equipment <br /> Ease of maintenance <br /> Qualifications of your firm <br /> <br />The evaluation panel may or may not choose to interview firms prior to making their <br />selection. <br /> <br />The City reserves the right to reject all proposals or negotiate with multiple firms, after <br />the initial submittal to obtain a satisfactory proposal. <br />Minimum Requirements <br />The following are the minimum requirements for the proposed project <br />Provide a full color, 3D rendering of the proposed project superimposed on the <br />existing landscape. <br />o Allow for up to two revisions of the rendering based on feedback from <br />stakeholders <br /> Attend up to 2 in-person meetings to discuss the project design (not including an <br />initial interview). <br /> Prepare for, organize and attend any public engagement events proposed in your <br />submittal. <br /> Project elements must include: <br />o Play structure designed for ages 2-5 years <br />o Play structure designed for ages 5-12 years <br />o Necessary separation of age-banded play structures <br />o Fall protection of adequate material, depth and radius around equipment, <br />confinement border, underlayment (sand, etc.), draintile, excavation <br />(including removal of excess soil), geotextile fabric and any other <br />appurtenances for the area surrounding the playground. <br />o Restoration of disturbed areas to pre-project conditions. <br />o Adaptive/Inclusive Play Equipment <br />At least one piece of equipment accessible for children with <br />mobility challenges (wheelchair, etc.) <br /> At least one piece of equipment designed to be used by children <br />with a range of sensory abilities (Autism spectrum, etc.) <br /> <br />
