For fences, staff would recommend replacing references to front yard or <br />setback to Òbetween the edge or building line of the principal structure and a lot line abutting a street.Ó <br /> <br />The commission should discuss whether to move forward with changes to the front lot line definition, or to <br />keep the current standards in place. <br /> <br />Accessory Structures <br />If the city pursues changes to front lot lines and creates a street side setback, staff recommends further <br />revisions to the Accessory Structure section. These are shown below: <br /> <br />(4) For an interior lot, no detached garage accessory structure shall be erected or located within any <br />required yard other than the rear yard so that any edge or building line of the structure is in <br />front of the principal building. Any detached accessory structure that is not a garage shall be <br />located only within the rear yard. For a corner or interior lot that is a lakeshore lot, a detached <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br />
