City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />July 23, 2025 <br />3.Centennial Fire District Claims through July 22, 2025 (Checks #9941-9950, Payroll Check <br />#9940 & E2025008) <br />4.May 14, 2025, City Council Work Session & City Council Meeting Minutes <br />5.Alexandra House Donation <br />Motion by Council Member Kubat, seconded by Council Member Rios, to Approve Items #1 - #4 <br />on the Consent Agenda, as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />Item #5 Î Alexandra House Donation - Council Member Koski stated that the organization is a wonderful <br />resource for residents, the Centennial Lake Police Department and City AttorneyÓs office. <br />Motion by Council Member Koski , seconded by Mayor Golden, to Approve Item #5 on the Consent <br />Agenda, as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />VIII.OLD BUSINESS. <br />1.None. <br />IX.NEW BUSINESS <br />1.2001 Sterling Truck Dump Box Repair <br />Administrator Lewis stated that the item was contained in the Capital Improvement Plan and discussed <br />alternatives to replacing the full truck or simply repairing the dump box. <br />Interim Public Works Director Peterson stated that several quotes had been received (e.g. Towmaster and <br />Crysteel) and recommended repairing the existing box and replacing the sanding unit by Towmaster in <br />the amount of $18,386. He stated that his recommendation was based on cost and turnaround time of <br />approximately six weeks, allowing for the truck to be back in service for the snow season. He stated that <br />the other option would take longer and potentially the truck could be out of service until next year. <br />A discussion ensued Î regarding the repairs to the truck, if there was a liner installed in the box, toolboxes, <br />augers, what the life expectancy of the repair would be, and the warranty on the sander or any of the other <br />repairs. <br />Motion by Mayor Golden, seconded by Council Member Koski, to Approve staffÓs recommendation <br />for the 2001 Sterling Truck Dump Box Repair, as presented. <br />Administrator Lewis asked the council if they wanted to make the motion continent upon the warranty <br />period of the work as currently that information was unavailable. Mr. Peterson stated that he would see <br />if there was a liner for the box to aid in stopping corrosion of the metal. Council Member Koski stated <br />that maybe we should add this to the motion depending on the cost of it. Council Member Kubat stated <br />we should see what the cost would be and wouldnÓt this be a separate item? Council Member Kubat asked <br />if it was economically feasible to purchase a liner for a truck that is 25 years old? Council Member Koski <br />stated if it saves the box, then yes, and if itÓs 2 to 3 grand, it might be worth it. He stated that his guess is <br />that they supply it and they would do that.
