City of Centerville City Council Meeting Minutes July 23, 2025 3.Centennial Fire District Claims through July 22, 2025 (Checks #9941-9950, Payroll Check #9940 & E2025008) 4.May 14, 2025, City Council Work Session & City Council Meeting Minutes 5.Alexandra House Donation Motion by Council Member Kubat, seconded by Council Member Rios, to Approve Items #1 - #4 on the Consent Agenda, as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. Item #5 Î Alexandra House Donation - Council Member Koski stated that the organization is a wonderful resource for residents, the Centennial Lake Police Department and City AttorneyÓs office. Motion by Council Member Koski , seconded by Mayor Golden, to Approve Item #5 on the Consent Agenda, as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. VIII.OLD BUSINESS. 1.None. IX.NEW BUSINESS 1.2001 Sterling Truck Dump Box Repair Administrator Lewis stated that the item was contained in the Capital Improvement Plan and discussed alternatives to replacing the full truck or simply repairing the dump box. Interim Public Works Director Peterson stated that several quotes had been received (e.g. Towmaster and Crysteel) and recommended repairing the existing box and replacing the sanding unit by Towmaster in the amount of $18,386. He stated that his recommendation was based on cost and turnaround time of approximately six weeks, allowing for the truck to be back in service for the snow season. He stated that the other option would take longer and potentially the truck could be out of service until next year. A discussion ensued Î regarding the repairs to the truck, if there was a liner installed in the box, toolboxes, augers, what the life expectancy of the repair would be, and the warranty on the sander or any of the other repairs. Motion by Mayor Golden, seconded by Council Member Koski, to Approve staffÓs recommendation for the 2001 Sterling Truck Dump Box Repair, as presented. Administrator Lewis asked the council if they wanted to make the motion continent upon the warranty period of the work as currently that information was unavailable. Mr. Peterson stated that he would see if there was a liner for the box to aid in stopping corrosion of the metal. Council Member Koski stated that maybe we should add this to the motion depending on the cost of it. Council Member Kubat stated we should see what the cost would be and wouldnÓt this be a separate item? Council Member Kubat asked if it was economically feasible to purchase a liner for a truck that is 25 years old? Council Member Koski stated if it saves the box, then yes, and if itÓs 2 to 3 grand, it might be worth it. He stated that his guess is that they supply it and they would do that.
