City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />September 13, 2006 <br />City Administrator Larson explained that due to health department requirements there <br />will be a few hundred dollars added costs for additional fittings to run the service to the <br />north side of the center line of the road. <br /> <br /> City Administrator Larson asked Council to approve if within 10% of the estimate. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Paar, to approve <br />Resolution #06-043, Awarding Contract to Olson Sewer Service, Inc., to Install <br />Watermain on Westview Street Within 10% of Estimate. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />3. Resolution #06-044 – Awarding Contract to Ro-So Contracting, Inc., to Provide <br />Demolition Services at the Property Located at 7071/7073 Centerville Road <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Terway, seconded by Council Member Paar, to <br />approve Resolution #06-044, Awarding Contract to Ro-So Contracting, Inc., to <br />Provide Demolition Services at the Property Located at 7071/7073 Centerville Road. <br /> <br /> City Administrator Larson indicated that the demo will begin on the September 25, 2006. <br /> <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br />1. Resolution #06-XXX – Establishing an Economic Development Authority <br /> <br /> City Administrator Larson asked Council to consider this draft for discussion purposes. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra said she read the Resolution and feels it is fine. <br /> <br />City Attorney Glaser explained that there is an option for how many members to have on <br />the EDA. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee indicated that he would like to see the former members of the <br />Economic Development Committee be offered a chance to serve. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated she would like to see no more than seven members. <br /> <br />Staff will modify the language and notice for the hearing. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Terway to direct <br />Staff to modify the language and advertise for the public hearing. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. Draft By-Laws of the Economic Development Authority <br /> <br /> Mayor Capra asked Council to review the By-Laws for consideration at a later meeting. <br /> <br />Page 4 of 7 <br />
