City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />September 13, 2006 <br />City Attorney Glaser indicated that Staff will outline all the costs and who pays what <br />amount for what costs by the time this comes to Council with a proposal. <br /> <br />Mr. Ron Mehl from Beard Group, addressed Council and updated Council on the steps <br />they have taken since the last meeting including meeting with developers, financing, and <br />the City to begin the process. <br /> <br />Council Member Lakso asked if the Beard Group would be looking to purchase the <br />homes and businesses that are for sale. <br /> <br />Mr. Mehl indicated that they would begin negotiating as soon as this predevelopment <br />agreement is executed. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Terway to approve <br />the Preliminary Development Agreement with the Beard Group. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar asked if legal approves. <br /> <br />City Attorney Glaser indicated that he has reviewed and approves of the agreement. <br /> <br />All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. Planning & Zoning Commission’s Recommendation for Approval of Ordinance <br />#12 – Amending Chapter 152 of the Code Modifying Regulations to Permit Area <br />Identification Signs in Residential Districts <br /> <br />Council Member Lee indicated he would like to require maintaining the sign and the <br />surrounding area landscaping. <br /> <br />Council agreed to add “the surrounding property.” <br /> <br />Council Member Paar indicated he would like to have the ability to require maintenance <br />and not be so vague. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Terway, seconded by Council Member Paar, to <br />approve Ordinance #12, Amending for Area Identification Signs as amended.
