City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />October 25, 2006 <br /> <br />Mayor Capra explained indicated that a Committee was advisory only. <br /> <br />Ms. Marshall said it seemed to leave the door wide open for eminent domain and for the <br />City to be in the business of development. <br /> <br />Engineer Statz explained that the City can purchase property but eminent domain is very <br />different and the City has purchased parcels for redevelopment. <br /> <br />Ms. Marshall said that she does not believe it is appropriate for the City to use TIF funds <br />from high density housing to subsidize new development of commercial property. <br /> <br />All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra closed the public hearing at 6:45 p.m. <br /> <br />III. SET AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Terway, seconded by Council Member Lakso to <br />approve the Agenda. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />IV. APPROVAL OF COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br /> <br />1.October 11, 2006 City Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />The City Attorney should be added as present. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Terway, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to <br />approve the October 11, 2006 City Council meeting minutes as presented. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2.
