<br />City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />November 29, 2006 <br /> <br />Mayor Capra suggested that City Administrator Larson be the Council's designee during <br />the day and said she could attend evening meetings. She then asked City Administrator <br />Larson to obtain the meeting schedule. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Terway. seconded bv Council Member Lakso. to <br />aoorove oarticioation in Anoka County's exoloration to form an Economic <br />Develooment Authority lEDA). with recommendation that the City Administrator <br />attend meetin2s on behalf of the Council. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />4. Liquor License Renewals <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reported that all renewal applications are up-to-date and <br />suggested the Council make a motion to approve all, with staff review. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Lakso. seconded bv Council Member Terwav. to <br />aoorove the renewal aoolications for license to sell liquor and tobacco oroducts of <br />Sa2er's Bar & Grill. Wise2uvs Pizza. Centerville Liquor Barrel. Center Mart. and <br />Corner Exoress. oendin2 aooroval of issues that staff may have to assure <br />comoliance with standard criteria All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />5. Resolution #06-051 - Certification of City Services (Lawn Mowing) at 7111 <br />Brian Drive ($63.90 + $50.00 Certification Fee = $113.90) <br /> <br />Council Member Lee inquired as to whether the maintenance process would start for the <br />next year and if grass could be cut on a more regular basis. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson responded that maintenance would be provided as the <br />ordinance allowed. However, there would be times when the lawn would not be cut for <br />an abandoned building until it was taken over. He then said someone would be assigned <br />to monitor maintenance. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee stated that debris had been noticed on the side of the house, as well <br />as the hood and bumper assembly of a car next to the garage. <br /> <br />City Attorney Glaser responded that it could be considered a nuisance and action could <br />be taken if the debris was not disposed of in a reasonable period of time. <br /> <br />Council Member Lakso inquired about police monitoring for vandalism to the abandoned <br />building. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson responded that the Police Department IS aware that the <br />building is vacant. <br /> <br />Page 9 of 16 <br /> <br />9 <br />
