City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br />November 8, 2006 <br /> <br />3.Successful Completion of Annual Performance Review Mr. John Meyer, Finance <br />Director – Year 2, Grade 9, Step 9 to Grade 9, Step 10 <br /> <br />4.Acceptance of Resignation of Ms. Kathy Peil from Parks & Recreation <br />Committee <br /> <br />5.Parks & Recreation Committee Recommendation to Authorize the Use of Laurie <br />LaMotte Park Hockey Rink 2006-2007 Season to Centennial Youth Hockey <br />Association <br /> <br />Council Member Terway requested that Item 5 be removed for discussion. <br /> <br />Council Member Lakso requested that Claims be removed for discussion. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra removed Item 4. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Terway, to <br />approve Consent Agenda Items 2 and 3 as presented. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Council Member Lakso noted that the Centennial Lakes Police shows up twice and asked <br />for clarification. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson explained that the City carries the health insurance for the <br />officers so that is deducted from the monthly contribution so there could be a difference <br />if someone changes enrollment. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that Staff will verify it. Staff has verified that the <br />first expenditure for the CLPD was voided. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Paar, to approve <br />Claims as presented. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged the resignation of Ms. Kathy Peil from the Parks and Recreation <br />Committee. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Capra, seconded by Council Member Lee, to have a Resolution to <br />declare Earth Day 2007 as Kathy Peil day in the City of Centerville. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council Member Terway requested clarification regarding the requested times for the <br />Hockey Association usage. <br /> <br />Council Member Lakso asked if the lights would be on until 9:00 p.m. if they were not to <br />use it. <br /> <br />Staff explained that there is a rink attendant from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Page 3 of 8 <br />
