City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br />November 8, 2006 <br /> <br />Council Member Paar indicated that the EDC used to contact new businesses to invite <br />them to be in the Business Directory. City Administrator Larson stated that staff would <br />be updating the directory. Council agreed to set within a mile of Centerville City limits <br />as the parameter for being listed in the directory. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Terway, to approve <br />not to exceed $3,000 to reprint the 2007 – 2008 Business Directory and to set a <br />parameter of one (1) mile of the City limits for listings. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />4. Consider Bids for Block 7 Area Utility/Grading Improvements <br /> <br />The City received bids for the Block 7 Area Utility/Grading improvements at 10:00 a.m. <br />on November 7. A listing of bids is attached. City Engineer Statz stated that Bonestroo <br />has not worked with the low bidder in the past and has requested references from them. <br />Mr. Stated also stated that the City of Woodbury has contracted with them and he is <br />recommending that they be awarded the contract. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to approve <br />a contract to the low bidder, Precision Excavating & Grading, LLC in the amount <br />of $124,548. for Block 7 Area Utility/Grading Improvements. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />5. Resolution Honoring the Late Jay McLinden, Anoka County Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Capra explained that this Resolution is to recognize the dedication of the late Mr. <br /> Jay McLinden for his years of service to Anoka County. <br /> <br /> Council Member Lakso indicated that she interviewed him last year for a school project <br /> and got to know him personally. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Terway, to <br />approve Resolution #06-047, Anoka County Administrator. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. Trail Crossing Marking at Centerville Road <br /> <br />Council Member Paar said that a neighbor brought this up noting that there are trail <br />crossing signs and a stop sign on the west side of the trail but not on the east side and the <br />markings on Centerville Road are gone for designating the trail. <br /> <br /> Staff will look into the situation. <br /> <br />IX.
