<br />22.7 An employee of this bargaining unit shall, upon honorable severance, receive all <br />unused PTO time payable at their current rate. <br /> <br />ARTICLE XXIII WAGES <br /> <br />Emplovees covered bv this aareement shall be compensated at the rates contained on <br />Appendix A. attached. <br /> <br />ARTICLE XXIV - STANDBY PAY <br /> <br />Individuals assigned to standby duty shall receive forty five dollars ($45.00) for each <br />weekend day ~nd Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) for each week day they are assigned and <br />have served in a standby capacity. Additionally, the call back provision detailed in <br />ARTICLE XII of this Contract shall apply to each call out incident the Employee <br />responds to while on standby duty. <br /> <br />ARTICLE XXV - SAFETY SHOES I WORK CLOTHESI AND EYEGLASSES <br /> <br />25.1 The EMPLOYER agrees to reimburse Employees a sum not to exceed <br />OneHundred Forty Dollars ($140.00) per year for the purchase of safety shoes <br />when the Employee receives authorization from the City to replace hislher safety <br />shoes or boots and presents a receipt for the purchase of certified safety <br />shoeslboots in an amount equaling or exceeding the requested reimbursement. <br />Safety shoes or boots must be worn by employees at all times while on the job. <br /> <br />25.2 The EMPLOYER will provide up to Three Hundred Seventy-five Dollars $375.00) <br />per year per employee for the Water and Sewer Departments and the Mechanic <br />for the purchase of uniform clothing as requested by the employee and approved <br />by the supervisor. This amount shall be increased to $400 effective January 1, <br />2009. <br /> <br />25.3 The'EMPLOYER will provide one (1) pair of prescription safety eyeglasses per <br />employee per year. The reimbursement for safety glasses shall not exceed Two <br />Hundred and Twenty-Five Dollars ($225.00) per year per employee. <br /> <br />ARTICLE )00(1- COMPENSATORY TIME <br /> <br />Employees who are assigned to work by the EMPLOYER in excess of the normal work <br />day shall, at the Employee's option, be compensated at the rate of one and one-half (1- <br />1/2) times the Employee's basic hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of the normal <br />work day, or shall receive equivalent compensatory time off at the rate of one and one- <br />half (1-1/2) hours for each hour worked, to be banked by the Employee to a maximum <br />of eighty (80) hours. Employees must request compensatory time off in the same <br />manner as they request vacation, however, under n() circumstances shall requests'be <br />made for increments less than two (2) hours.
