Motion carried. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard-Vickers reviewed the pieces of equipment that would <br />be purchased for the Wheels Park at Laurie LaMotte Park. She noted numerous <br />people were involved with the selection of these pieces. Council Member <br />Broussard-Vickers noted the Parks and Recreation Committee was looking for a <br />grand opening of the Wheels Park to be at or around August 11, 2001. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Capra. seconded by Mayor Swedberg to <br />approve the expenditure of $42.000 for the Wheels Park as suggested by the <br />Parks and Recreation Committee. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Tom Lee, Park and Recreation Committee member indicated the committee did <br />not recommend allowing a bonfire at Acorn Park due to the fact there is no fire <br />rings. There was a consensus by the Council to not allow this bonfire as <br />recommended by the Committee. <br /> <br />Mr. Lee noted the Park and Recreation Committee would be responsible for <br />sending out a letter to the residents requesting this item for their block party. <br /> <br />Roadway Permit for S1. Genevieve's <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Swedberg. seconded by Council Member Travis to <br />approve the revised roadway permit for St. Genevieve's as presented by <br />staff. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Roadway Permit for John Fitzgerald <br /> <br />Mr. March noted John Fitzgerald is requesting seven loads to come in at seven <br />tons each. Mr. Peterson indicated he would be in favor of the seven-ton limit as it <br />has been very dry on this roadway. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Capra. seconded bv Council Member <br />Broussard-Vickers to approve the roadway permit for John Fitzgerald for <br />seven tons and seven trips as suggested by staff. All in favor. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />IX. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />The City of Centerville June 28 through July 10, 2001 <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Broussard-Vickers. seconded by Council <br />Member Travis to approve the expenditures for the City from June 28. 2001 <br />through July 10. 2001.
