NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />st <br /> <br />1.Pay Request #4 - Burschville Construction (Backage Road / 21 Avenue <br />Improvements) - $273,699.56 <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson stated that the Burschville Construction pay request would be <br />the last one until next spring. City Engineer Statz added that accounts would typically be <br />settled up over the winter months. <br /> <br />Council Member Lakso inquired about change order #1 for $9,611.16 regarding <br />installation of utilities and street on Old Mill Road. City Engineer Statz responded that <br />the description was wrong, stuck in the system, and the idea was scrapped and a change <br />order rewritten for valve replacements on County Road 54. He said the chart needed to <br />be corrected. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to approve <br />st <br />Pay Request #4, Burschville Construction (Backage Road / 21 Avenue <br />Improvements) for $273,699.56. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee inquired as to how much more money would be required for the <br />ballpark estimate. Council Member Terway noted that the original contract was revised <br />from $1.18 million to $1.31 million. City Engineer Statz responded that opinion was to <br />err on the conservative side. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Erick Marshall, 1688 Sorel Street – Request for Lot Split, Planning and Zoning <br />Report and Recommendation <br /> <br />Mayor Capra commended staff regarding the planning numbers and holding firm on the <br />redevelopment plan. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson displayed the current parcel map and stated that it would be <br />good to put a final stamp of final approval, as the applicant planned to sell. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Terway, to deny the <br />lot split request from Erick Marshall, 1688 Sorel Street, upholding the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission’s recommendation for approval. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />3.Anoka County Economic Development Authority (EDA) Exploration Committee <br /> <br />Mayor Capra described the City’s past history with regard to EDAs and reported on <br />receipt of an invitation from Anoka County to participate in the exploration of creating <br />one, also noting concern regarding authority, = control of projects, and taxation if one <br />was created. <br /> <br />Page 8 of 16 <br />
