. Flyers
Informational flyers have become a mainstay for getting the word out about playback schedules
for events shot with ~he van. Taking this promotional tool one step further, we are trying to
cross promote other programs at van shoots. Someone who is interested in seeing what time
their son's game is going to be on TV might also find City Scope an interesting program to
watch. Our ultimate plan is to have every staff member distribute flyers anytime they are out in
the public working on any program.

. PR Kits
We will continue to produce a folder of information, regarding our facility and services, which we
can tailor to specific audiences. The folder includes a facility brochure, a flyer specifiying the
services we can provide to that particular group, stamped, self~addressed response postcards,
and an introductory letter from the Executive Director inviting that group to utilize our services.
Each PR kit is tailored to appeal to the group we are targeting, whether it be a non-profit
organization, a service club, a business sponsorship or a school career services program.

· Outreach
Taking the PR kits one step further, staff will be increasing efforts to physically meet with groups
and organizations. Once folks have been introduced to community programming via the PR kit,
an appropriate staff member will arrange a meeting to emphasize the opportunities available. A
standard presentation, that can be adapted for different groups, will be developed.

· City Scope and Job Show Posters
We have been working hard to develop a mutually beneficial partnership between the Media
Center and the local Chambers of Commerce. Currently, local businesses are highlighted in a
segment on City Scope. Plus, the Job Show, designed for use by businesses to publicize
employment opportunities is in the development stages. We believe Chamber affiliated
businesses would be willing to display full color posters advertising City Scope and the Job
Show. We also hope to display the posters in the MediaOne customer service office, local city
halls, schools and libraries.

_f8IdIdifttJ

The foundation for our development of partnerships, with community organizations, will be the
programming outlets offered to them for their information. Several programs have already been
developed by staff to serve this function, including "City Scope," "Perspectives," "Crime Time,"
and "Sports Center Spotlight." In addition to producing these programs on a regular basis, we
want to create new shows to address issues or areas we're currently missing. New shows that
will be produced regularly include:

3
