<br />· Establish standards for landscaping and screening to permit outside storage <br />requirements of industries, while ensuring adequate aesthetic controls. <br />· Establish adequate standards for site access, parking, maneuvering, loading <br />and structure setbacks. <br />· Establish standards for structure upkeep and site maintenance to ensure long <br />term aesthetic controls. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />TRANSPORTATION GOALS AND POLICIES <br /> <br />It is the goal of the City of Centerville to: <br />· Maintain a safe, efficient and convenient transportation system. <br />· Protect the integrity of the transportation system. <br />· Provide sufficient off street parking. <br /> <br />It is the policy of the City of Centerville to: <br />· Develop land use development standards that promote safe and efficient <br />access to the transportation system. <br />· Protect the "small town" character of the City. <br />· Develop land uses and access spacing guidelines compatible with the <br />functional classification of the regional highway system. <br />· Establish a local transportation network which preserves neighborhood <br />identity but links neighborhoods together and to community parks and <br />facilities. <br />· Identify long term transportation corridors to provide access to and within the <br />City as development occurs. <br />· Identify potential trail corridors for long term linkage to neighborhoods, <br />public parks and businesses. <br />· Coordinate transportation planning and system improvements with Anoka <br />County and the Minnesota Department of Transportation. <br />· Work with the Metro Transit to maximize transit opportunities for the <br />community. <br /> <br />33 <br />
