Mr. Palzer will contact a rental company to price lights for the skating rink and that they will be compatible with
the City's generator. Mr. Palzer will attend the January EDC meeting. Mr. Palzer will also contact a
representative from the Centerville Lions to request that the Lion's Concession trailer be available during the
events on Saturday and Sunday.

Ms. Jen Smith, Chain of Lakes YMCA made an appearance to discuss the 1st Annual Frozen 5K Run being held
during Frozen Fete des Lacs. There are fliers available with a registration form at City Hall and on the city's
web site. Centerville businesses are sponsoring the event by covering the YMCA's costs to run the event.
There will be t-shirts and prizes available to all who participate. Pre-registration is preferred, but registration
will also be accepted the day of the race. Chairperson Burke hopes to also tie this race into the summer Fete des
Lacs.

As far as advertising, Chairperson Burke suggested using the same flier and poster as last year since the art work
is already done and will just have to be slightly modified with current dates and time. It was suggested the Car
Races on Ice be promoted by offering rides to interested persons in the race cars and perhaps having a race car
on a trailer parked at Corner Express a week or two prior to the races. Mr. Kapaun will speak with Mr. Todd
Steffen, Corner Express regarding reserving the sign during the week prior to the event and the possibility of
parking a car in the Corner Express parking lot. Council Member Paar has contacted Mr. Jim Guy regarding
promoting the event on Channel 5 News by possibly broadcasting from Centerville Lake. Council Member Paar
will follow up with this item. Ms. Stephan will contact North Metro Cable to determine if there is an interest in
being present at any of the events.

Committee Member Rehbine stated the Quad Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor Golf on Ice again this
year, with an expanded event. The committee discussed the coloring contest Mainstreet Bank has sponsored in
the past and decided as this was not well received in the past, Chairperson Burke would ask Mr. Thineson,
President of Mainstreet Bank, if the bank employees would be interested in sponsoring the Snow Sculpture
Contest. Vice-Chairperson Smith will contact the Lino Lakes Canine Unit regarding having a demonstration on
Saturday, February 19 tentatively set for 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The Centerville Business Women have volunteered
to run the snowball toss again this year. Chairperson Burke stated the Experimental Aircraft Association plans
to participate by offering airplane rides to children again this year. The committee had previously discussed
ways of coordinating the schedule for the airplane rides more efficiently by perhaps offering rides from
Centerville Lake to Benson Airport. There are questions of liability and not wanting to incur additional cost by
renting a transportation vehicle. Chairperson Burke will contact Rehbein Transport for options available and
report at the next committee meeting.

Ms. Mary Capra, a representative of the St. Genevieve's Activity Committee had previously said their
participation will depend on where the events are located on the lake, as in 2004 they sponsored sliding, cookies
and hot chocolate at the church rectory. If the events are all held at the Anoka County Park, this may not work
as it will be too far away from the other events. The St. Genevieve's Activity Committee is open to suggestions.
The Economic Development Committee discussed other options the St. Genevieve's Activity Committee and/or
the Boy Scouts could participate in and will offer the following suggestions to Ms. Capra; the snowshoe
demonstrations / races were popular in 2004 and could be something the group could volunteer to run. Added to
the snowshoes could be cross county skiing, a scavenger hunt on snowshoes, skis or walking, or the ice skating
rink could be manned by the group with hot chocolate and cookies on Saturday since it will already be plowed
for the Parks & Recreation Committee's Skate Night on Friday evening. Ms. Stephan will forward this
information to Ms. Capra and Council Member Paar will discuss this at the next scheduled City Council
Meeting.

Mr. Tedd Peterson, Chairperson Parks & Recreation Committee was unable to attend the EDC Meeting, but
asked Ms. Stephan to pass on his questions and the Parks & Recreation Committee's input regarding Frozen
Fete des Lacs.
