City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />April 11, 2007 <br /> <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> <br /> <br />1. City Administrator Larson <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson stated he had received an inquiry from a business owner about <br />plastic fabric building in the Commercial B-1 zoning district. He commented that the <br />business owner requested an exception for the Commercial/Industrial zoning districts. <br />Mr. Larson commented the code did not allow them. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding the structure. Consensus was that these structures were not <br />allowed and that it isn’t in the City’s best interest to change that. City Administrator <br />Larson indicated he would forward Council’s decision to the business owner. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reminded Council that his annual review process should <br />commence shortly. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra recommended adding it as an executive session following the next <br /> scheduled meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Centerville Sesquicentennial <br /> <br />a.LaCompany <br /> <br />Mayor Capra stated LaCompany is committed and a letter of agreement will be <br />forthcoming. <br /> <br /> <br />b.Aerial Photo Project <br /> <br />Councilmember Brossard questioned whether the aerial photo company would take <br />photos for residents on an individual basis. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra stated they would, but she would like to discuss this with them.. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding the types of photos that would be taken. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra commented that the local newspapers have asked about the City’s <br />Sesquicentennial. She stated the photos of what is happening in Centerville would be the <br />biggest changes in the past 150 years. Mayor Capra stated it is a time to celebrate what <br />had been done in the past and what is being done in the present. <br /> <br /> <br />3.Business Appreciation Dinner <br /> <br />Mayor Capra questioned if Council was interested in providing a Business Appreciation <br />Dinner this year. <br /> <br />Discussion on the logistics ensued. <br /> <br />Page 9 of 10 <br />
