<br />City ofCenterville <br />PlaImins and Zoning C......,Umion <br />May 1,2007 <br />City Adl'llinistrator Larson explained that the City has been replacing mll1'lbnte covers. <br />He stated that Centervi11e's infiltration system is not a problem and the sewer main is a <br />newer sewer system constructed after 1980. <br /> <br />Commissioner Pangell questioned the storm water ponds. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson replied that there are new and more stringent rules relative to <br />storm water ponds. He commented that everyone would know these rules prior to <br />amending the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson stated that the Downtown Redevelopment Plan reqt1ired <br />consideration. He commented that Council and the Commission might want to look at <br />the land in tar east area of Centerville. <br /> <br />Commissioner Pangell remarked that Centerville should flow with Uno Lakes on the east <br />side. He indicated the area should be consistent relative to commercial and industrial <br />development. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson replied that the main discussion revolves around industrial <br />development north of the creek. He explained that the City is considering rezoning the <br />properties north of the creek to Business rather than Industrial. He commented that some <br />of the property could become legal non--confonning use; therefore, it is important to be <br />aware of this and any potential impact. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued on the rezoning of commerciaVmdusttialland. <br /> <br />Commissioner pangell questioned how soon communication with commercia1fmdustrial <br />businesses would begin. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson replied that it would go hand-in-hand with amending the <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard stated that it would behoove the City to talk to them sooner <br />rather than later. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued on the building of new commercial retail in Lino Lakes. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson stated that the advantage to having something specific in Lino <br />Lakes would make it easier to convince Centerville businesses to agree to a rezoning. <br /> <br />Commissioner PangeU questioned the role the Economic Development Authority would <br />play. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson responded that it is a matter of how the City chose to use the <br />BOA <br /> <br />Page40f6 <br />
