He commented that everyone would know these rules prior to
amending the Comprehensive Plan.

City Administrator Larson stated that the Downtown Redevelopment Plan reqt1ired
consideration. He commented that Council and the Commission might want to look at
the land in tar east area of Centerville.

Commissioner Pangell remarked that Centerville should flow with Uno Lakes on the east
side. He explained that the City is considering rezoning the
properties north of the creek to Business rather than Industrial. He commented that some
of the property could become legal non--confonning use; therefore, it is important to be
aware of this and any potential impact.

Discussion ensued on the rezoning of commerciaVmdusttialland.

Commissioner pangell questioned how soon communication with commercia1fmdustrial
businesses would begin.

City Administrator Larson replied that it would go hand-in-hand with amending the
Comprehensive Plan.

Council Member Broussard stated that it would behoove the City to talk to them sooner
rather than later.

Discussion ensued on the building of new commercial retail in Lino Lakes.

City Administrator Larson stated that the advantage to having something specific in Lino
Lakes would make it easier to convince Centerville businesses to agree to a rezoning.

Commissioner PangeU questioned the role the Economic Development Authority would
play.

City Administrator Larson responded that it is a matter of how the City chose to use the
BOA

Page40f6
