City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />May 9, 2007 <br /> <br />7.Parks & Recreation Committee’s Recommendation for Naming 1601 LaMotte <br />Drive “Hidden Spring Park” – Previously Tabled. <br /> <br />8.Purchase of Bobcat Skid Loader Attachment - $3,640 (Budgeted Item) <br /> <br />Mayor Capra requested that Item 4, Ollie & Company Proposal be removed from the <br />Consent Agenda. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to approve <br />the Consent Agenda Items 1-3 and 5-8 as amended. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />4. Ollie & Company Proposal for Skateboard Competition at Laurie LaMotte <br /> <br />Memorial Park Skate Park June 16, 2007. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra asked Councilmember Broussard about the additional insurance for the <br />Skateboard Competition. <br /> <br />Councilmember Broussard explained where this should be indicated on the form. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra asked about the release and assumption of risk. <br /> <br />City Attorney Glaser replied that it is for the individuals who are doing the skate parks. <br />He stated that skateboarding is a high-risk sport and that these binders hold up very well. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard, seconded by Council Member Lee, to <br />approve Consent Agenda Item 4 as presented. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />VI. AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br /> <br /> <br />1.Mr. Randy Larson – Aerial Photos – Sesquicentennial. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra stated that Mr. Randy Larson is from Can Dad Camera and is taking photos <br />for the Anoka County Sesquicentennial. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson explained that all the photos he takes would be donated to the historical <br />society. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra stated that she asked Mr. Larson to give a presentation to Council and also <br />asked him to attend because on Wednesday, May 16, 2007, is the all-school elementary <br />school reunion at Golden’s Restaurant. She stated that Mr. Larson would be available to <br />take a photo of the group for $90. She commented that she would like to have approval <br />on this item. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson referred the Council to the letter of February 14, 2007. He explained each of <br />the items and the associated costs and corrected the date to August 4, 2007 on Item 5. He <br />Page 3 of 9 <br />
