<br />The Growth Management Plan (Figure #11) identifies the land use designations for <br /> <br />optimum development in the City. Neatly 80% of the remaining gross vacant land will <br /> <br />be dedicated to residential development, including future parks. The balance of <br />vacant land includes 8% commercial land uses and 12% industrial uses. Net developable <br />land <br /> <br />includes 406 acres for residential dwellings, 33 acres for commercial development and 55 <br /> <br />acres for industrial land uses. <br /> <br />Staging of development should occur in logical, contiguous increments. <br /> <br />Future development identified in the Growth Management Plan 1S <br /> <br />dependent upon the <br /> <br />extensions of public utilities. Five year staging plans will assist the City in <br />evaluating cost effective utility expansions and should reflect the pace of <br />development anticipated. Table #8 identifies the breakdown of vacant land <br /> <br />acreage in the City by land use and a five year staging concept for MUSA <br />additions.
