City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />February 23, 2005 <br />3. Mr. Greg Kieselhorst – Fete des Lacs, Centerville Lions – Fireworks, Satellites & <br />Tent <br />Mr. Kieselhorst appeared before Council and outlined the proposed changes for this <br />year’s festival and the budget for 2005. <br />Council discussed the matter with Mr. Kieselhorst and Staff indicated that the City <br />budgeted $18,000 for the festival this year. <br />Mr. Kieselhorst indicated that he would like to apply to the Spring Lake Park Lions for a <br />donation again this year and asked that Council consider accepting that donation and <br />forwarding it to the Lions for the festival. <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to approve <br />$18,000 for the Festival with the understanding that the money be spent on items <br />that benefit the entire community such as the parade, fireworks, stage, tent, and the <br />portable toilets with $7,750 going toward the parade and the remainder to be spent <br />at the discretion of the Lions for the Festival. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Kieselhorst asked for permission for the Lions to use the park for the Easter egg hunt <br />on March 26, 2005. <br />Council agreed and Staff asked that Mr. Kieselhorst stop into City Hall to fill out a <br />special event form. <br />4. Mr. Paul Montain <br />Mr. Montain was not present at the meeting. <br />VI. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />None. <br />VII. NEW BUSINESS <br />1. Successful Completion of Annual Review – Building Inspector Joel McPherson <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Lakso to approve <br />the successful completion of annual review and step increase for Mr. Joel <br />McPherson. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />2. Step Increase – December 21, 2004 City Clerk <br />Mayor Capra explained that since there is no City Administrator there is no one to do the <br />City Clerk’s review. <br />Page 3 of 6 <br /> <br />
