City of Centerville <br />January 26, 2005 <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />Mayor Capra opened the public hearing at 7:20 p.m. <br /> Council Member Lee indicated that Centerville is not issuing bonds. <br />Council Member Lee provided an overview of where the new police station will be <br />located. <br />Council Member Lee indicated that the goal is to move into the building in late <br />November 2005. <br />Council Member Lee indicated the budget for the new building is $2.25 million dollars <br />paid for by bonds issued by Circle Pines and paid jointly by the three cities. <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Lakso to close the <br />public hearing. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Capra closed the public hearing at 7:35 p.m. <br />VII. NEW BUSINESS <br />1. Staff Attendance of Scheduled All Committees/Commission/Council Joint Work <br />Session Scheduled for February 2, 2005 <br />Mayor Capra indicated that the City of Lino Lakes is going to be doing an AUAR that <br />encompasses the north end of Centerville and below Centerville and they have asked if <br />Centerville wants to be included at no cost. She then said that they have asked to make a <br />presentation to all City committees for input so she suggested that he come and do that <br />for 20 minutes at the all committee meeting that is scheduled for February 2, 2005. <br />Mayor Capra asked to have Mr. Peterson at that meeting and asked whether Council <br />wanted to participate in the study. <br />Mr. Peterson explained that all aspects of the region are studied for future development. <br />Council Member Lee indicated he would be in favor of having it done but would want the <br />presentation be kept to less than 30 minutes as there is a lot to cover at that meeting. <br />Mayor Capra indicated that the meeting could be taped and broadcast and then Minutes <br />could be done off of the tape for a synopsis of the meeting. She then said that Mr. <br />Peterson, Ms. Bender, Mr. Palzer and Ms. Stephan should be at the meeting along with <br />Mr. Meyer who has offered to chair the meeting. <br />Council Member Paar indicated he would want to limit City input into this especially if <br />they do not intend to listen to the input of the City. He further clarified that he does not <br />want to waste a lot of time if there is no benefit to the City. <br />Page 4 of 11 <br /> <br />
