City of Centerville <br />April 13, 2005 <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to table. All <br />in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />8.Ordinance Codification – Recommendation of City Administrator <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that he would like Council to authorize codifying <br />Ordinances #4 and #8 along with the rest of the Ordinances as they are the most referred <br />to and most used by Staff and it does not make sense to leave them out of the process. <br />He then estimated an additional cost of approximately $2,000. <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Paar, to authorize <br />Staff to codify Ordinances #4 and #8 as recommended by Staff. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />9.Authorize Negotiation of Purchase Option – St. Paul Water Utilities <br />Mayor Capra updated Council on her efforts on the purchase of the St. Paul Water Utility <br />property including research and past history as well as negotiations with Mr. Cheetah <br />concerning the appraisal amount and possible deductions. <br />Mayor Capra directed John Meyer and Dallas Larson to work with Mr. Cheetah on a <br />negotiated purchase price and provide a recommendation to Council. <br />10.Stahl Property <br />Mr. Lee indicated that the Stahls have contacted him concerning a tree and shrub that <br />were removed during pond dredging that they believe to be outside of the easement. <br />Council discussed the matter and directed Mr. Palzer to determine the dimensions of the <br />drainage easement and whether the shrub and tree were located in or out of the easement <br />and provide a report to Council. <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS <br />1.CSAH 14 Project Streetscapes/Grant/Bridge <br />Council discussed the streetscape portion of the project and directed Staff and agreed to <br />go as far as possible with the streetscapes along Main Street. <br />Mayor Capra indicated that Public Works has asked not to have banners on the light <br />poles as they would need a bucket truck to change them. <br />st <br />Council agreed to go all the way to 21 Avenue with streetscaping. Staff is to work on <br />this and provide a plan for consideration of Council. <br />Page 4 of 8 <br /> <br />
