Ms. Person explained she took an over all average from the market study and <br />implemented the results in the salary plan. Ms. Gaustad questioned the accuracy of an average <br />based off one respondent for a position. <br /> <br />:Mr. Palzer requested Ms. Person define how she arrived at the beginning steps for each position. <br />Ms. Person replied each step was determined by the above stated reasons. :Mr. Palzer asked the <br />Council if they felt the administrator or the maintenance worker employees were over paid. The <br />Council replied no, neither ofthe positions are over paid. :Mr. Palzer asked the Council and Ms. <br />Person why the other employees do not fall into the same pay schedule as the administrator or <br />maintenance workers. In addition, the administrator and maintenance workers are scheduled at <br />step four, whereas, every other position begins at step one in Option A. Ms. Person noted the pay <br />grades and presented steps as presented was accurate and reflects the market data and internal <br />ranking. <br /> <br />Councilmember Helmbrecht requested clarification on the recommended grade and job <br />description changes.
