<br />Councilmember Buckbee moved to approve pay estimate #3 in the amount of $62.248.57 as <br />per recommended by H. R. Green in a letter dated November 16. 1998 and contingent upon <br />the City being in receipt of a satisfactory lien waiver. Councilmember Brenner seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Pay Estimate #3 for Laurie LaMotte Park <br />Councilmember Brenner moved to approve pay estimate #3 for Laurie LaMotte Memorial <br />Park in the amount of $5,574.60. Councilmember Powers seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The City of Centerville December 8 - 21 <br />Councilmember Buckbee moved to approve the City of Centerville payment of claims for <br />December 8 - 21. Councilmember Brenner seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Centennial Fire District <br />Councilmember Powers moved to approve the ratification of expenditures and payment of <br />claims for the Centennial Fire District. Councilmember Brenner seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />Main Street Flashing Lights <br />Mr. Tom Peterson (Bonestroo) updated the Council on the Main Street flashing lights and its time <br />line. The engineer's plan is to acquire signatures from the property owners for the easements and <br />then commence work by the end of the next week. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson reported on quotations received from six electrical contracts to install the flashing <br />lights on Main Street. Electrical Installation & Maintenance (Maple Plain, MN) was the low bid <br />at $9,490.00 <br /> <br />Councilmember Buckbee moved to accept the Engineers' recommendation of Electrical <br />Installation & Maintenance's bid of $9.490.00 to install the school ahead flashers. <br />Councilmember Brenner seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ISTS - Anoka County <br />Mr. March gave an overview of the new state requirements pertaining to Individual Sewerage <br />Treatment System (ISTS) regulations (Minn R. Chap 7080). Anoka County adopted the current <br />state rules, with modifications. Based on Minnesota Statutes requirements, if a city or township <br />has not adopted these provisions in its ordinance by January 1, 1999, then the county's ordinance <br />applies. Mr. March recommended the Council do nothing and then the City would adopt the <br />County's ordinance by default. <br /> <br />3 <br />
