<br />Dave Nyberg introduced the 21st Ave. North Street and Storm Sewer Improvements. <br />Mr. Nyberg noted the total project costs: Site work 5,000 <br />Streets 120,000 <br />Storm Sewer 30,000 <br />$155,000 <br />Also, :Mr. Nyberg indicated there is $20,000 - $30,000 in construction cost for turning lanes, <br />and the additional accounts for administration. The overall project cost is estimated at <br />$230,000.00, which includes Lino Lakes expenses. The project schedule includes the following: <br />Public Hearing <br />Plan Approval and Order Advertisements for Bids <br />Bid Opening <br />Award Project <br />Begin Construction <br />Assessment Hearing <br />Complete Construction <br /> <br />Sept. 9 <br />Oct. 8 <br />Oct. 12 <br />Oct. 26 <br />Oct. 28 <br />Nov. 1998/ Spring 1999 <br /> <br />:NIr. Jim Kozar of Automotive Drive Line (ADL - 7095 - 21st Ave. S) questioned the approximate <br />cost to construct the road. Mr. Nyberg noted few alternates: a per foot cost, and a blanket cost <br />to each property owner, however, all costs are subject to the City's contributions. <br /> <br />Mr. Bob Sorg (Noble Welding 7075 21st Ave S ) inquired if the water being piped from Lino <br />Lakes, across 21st Avenue and draining onto his property would be permanent. <br /> <br />Mr. Nyberg stated he is not proposing to discharge run-off onto the swale between ADL and <br />Noble Welding. <br /> <br />:NIr. Kozar (ADL) questioned the Engineer if there will be a stop light at the intersection of <br />Hightway 14 and 21st. Ave. Mr. Nyberg stated that there may very well be a stop light, but not <br />anytime soon. <br /> <br />Mr. Kozar (ADL) questioned the Engineer, if21st. Ave. N. will align with 21st. Ave. S. Mr. <br />Nyberg stated that it is proposed to align the two streets. <br /> <br />Mr. Sorg (Noble Welding) stated he was glad to see that minimal road construction work is being <br />done. He also asked that we keep in mind that the road has been maintenance free for 10 years. <br />Also, he questioned the Engineer if the city can use the existing road to assist with the cost. :Mr. <br />Nyberg stated that the present material will be milled and reused. <br /> <br />Mr. Kozar (ADL) stressed the need to implement a traffic light. Mayor Wilharber noted the <br />mayors from the three surrounding communities plan to discuss the bridge safety with Anoka <br />County and possibly the state. <br /> <br />Councilmember Helmbrecht commented she did not feel comfortable making a decision at this <br /> <br />3 <br />
