<br />After considerable discussion, Mayor Wilharber stated that the matter should be turned <br />over to Park and Recreation Committee and Planning and Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />Motion by Council member Sweeney, seconded by Council member Nelson to refer <br />Mr. LeBlanc's issues to Park and Recreation and Plannin2 and Zonin2. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Lino Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce <br /> <br />Tim Rebine of the Lino Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce presented membership <br />information to Council. <br /> <br />Motion by Council member Travis, seconded by Council member Sweeney to join <br />the Lino Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce on a trial basis for one year. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Council member Broussard Vickers, Sweeney, Travis and Mayor Wilharber <br />Nays: Council member Nelson <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />Rental Property Ordinance <br /> <br />Due to the fact that the City Attorney had to leave the meeting, Council moved this item <br />of the agenda <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />Mr. March stated that the Ordinance reflects the Council and attorney changes. He also <br />stated that he talked to Chief Heckman regarding Section 38.18, Subd. 2, Prospective <br />Tenant Background Investigations. He informed Council that Chief Heckman indicated <br />that the landlord can have this investigation performed through the BCA, therefore this <br />subdivision was deleted from the ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion by Council member Sweeney, seconded by Council member Nelson to adopt <br />Resolution No. 99-21, Approvin2 Title And Summary Of Ordinance 38. Housin2: <br />Code: Re2:istration Of Rental Units. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Council member Sweeney, seconded by Council member Nelson to pass <br />Ordinance No. 38, Housin2 Code: Re2istration of Rental Units. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />APPEARANCES/AWARDS (Continued) <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Budget <br /> <br />Michael Navin, Park and Recreation Chairman, presented Council with a proposed budget <br />for 2000 and the Park and Recreation's goals and objectives through 2002. He explained <br />that 2000 budget reflects money to be spent to enhance existing resources within the City. <br /> <br />Council member Broussard Vickers indicated that she felt that a survey should be done to <br />incorporate citizen preferences. <br />
