<br />for bingo and raffles on August 15, 1999. Furthermore, according to the City's fee schedule, there is a <br />$15.00 charge for a bingo license. However, historically the City has waived the fee for this nonprofit <br />organization. Councilmember Nelson confirmed that in the past the City has waived the bingo fees for <br />other nonprofit organizations. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Brenner, seconded by Councilmember Travis to waive the $15.00 fee for <br />bingo and to approve the application for lawful gambling for S1. Genevieve. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />IX. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Hanson Variance Request <br />Ms. Gaustad explained during the March 3, 1999 Planning and Zoning meeting the Commission <br />recommended to the Council to deny the Hanson variance request because the request did not conform to <br />Ordinance #4, 65. 03-04. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Nelson, seconded by Councilmember Brenner to take the recommendation <br />of the Planning and Zoning Commission to deny the Hanson Variance request. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Vesel Variance Request <br />Ms. Gaustad explained that this request too, did not meet with the minimal variance request criteria and <br />it was the Planning Commission's recommendation to deny the Vesel request. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Brenner, seconded by Councilmember Nelson to deny the Vesel variance <br />request as per the Planning Commission's recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />1999 Street Maintenance <br />Mr. March updated the Council on the proposed planned street maintenance for 1999. In 1999, the City <br />budgeted $53,660 for street repairs and maintenance. Mr. Palzer commented that the list of streets that <br />needed to be treated were last treated in both 1991 and 1993. They are as follows: <br /> <br />Center Street east of Dupre; Dupre Road south of Eagle Pass; Ivy Court; Sumac Court; Clear Ridge; <br />Grainge-view; Stevens Lane, Prairie Drive; Peterson Trail south of the Acorn Creek Addn; Hayfield <br />Road; Houle Circle; Fox Run; Shad Avenue; Brian Way. <br /> <br />Mr. Palzer answered Mayor Wilharber's question that LaValle Road is approximately a 26' road. <br />Councilmember Brenner confirmed that the proposed seal cost material does not contain large rocks. <br />Councilmember Brenner questioned if the City should include Petlier Lake Drive to Centerville road. <br />Mr. March noted that a seal coat may not servethe need to repair the road. Mr. Palzer suggested that if <br />the Council elects to include additional streets that perhaps a change work order can be completed. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Travis, seconded by Councilmember Brenner to approve the recommendation <br />of the Public Works Director without Centerville Road and Peltier Lake Drive. City Engineer, Tom <br />Peterson concurred.
