<br />City of Centerville Meeting Minutes September 25, 1996 <br /> <br />Eagle Pass Development - Nyberg requested the council to approve the Eagle Pass Plans. <br />Helmbrecht asked if there were trails underneath roads. Nyberg said no. Helmbrecht <br />asked what was decided with the island and what did other cities say. Nyberg said the <br />islands would be the city's responsibility, if the city were to include it. Wilharber said it <br />looks good and the safety is good. Stewart suggested having the association maintain the <br />island. March commented since the association will be maintaining the grounds the island <br />could be included. Council requested the island remain in the plan and be maintained by <br />the association. Nyberg said the plan includes a temporary turn around and sidewalks have <br />been added for a future connect into Brian Drive. Buckbee asked if this included water <br />going to Heritage. Nyberg said yes, sheet 12 indicated the watermain which is a 12 inch <br />line for the future extension down Centerville Road. Further, there is a watermain <br />connection behind City Hall. <br /> <br />MOTION by Buckbee, seconded by Helmbrecht to approve the Sanitary Sewer, <br />Watermain, Storm Sewer and Street Improvements for Eagle Pass Development dated <br />September 18, 1996. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Stewart recommended a letter be sent to the Eagle Pass Developers indicating the <br />developers will assume all risk of the project since the final plat has not been approved. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />MOTION by Buckbee, seconded by Helmbrecht to send a letter to the Eagle Pass <br />Developers. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Brenner suggested including the developers agreement a no change in grade, to prevent <br />erosion and to include seeding or sod. Buckbee said Ordinance 8 requires seed or sod <br />within one year. <br /> <br />Water Supply Plan with Lino Lakes - Nyberg suggested a two way meter be placed on <br />21 st & Main or 20th & Cedar. Nyberg commented Lino Lakes would charge Centerville <br />the same fee as a large unit user. Nyberg suggested using the interconnect for emergency <br />reasons and put in Centerville's own water tower. March asked what additional <br />information is needed prior to doing a feasibility study. Nyberg said he could do a run <br />down on the interconnect and a water tower. March asked the cost to do a feasibility <br />study. Stewart said about $1,500 to $2,000. Helmbrecht and Brenner commented they <br />would like to see plenty of options. March asked if a list of options could be available <br />before the approval. Nyberg said yes. Brenner asked a time table be included. Buckbee <br />suggested the plans be made and in place by January, 1st. Stewart suggested including in <br />the developers agreement homes will hook up when water is available. Buckbee <br />suggested a letter be sent to Lino Lakes stating we have received their letter and we are <br />researching the issue. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Clearwater Meadows Assessments - March suggested setting a Public Hearing for <br />Clearwater Meadows Assessments on October 23, 1996 at 6:00 P.M. <br /> <br />4 <br />
